Cette année si particulière m’a permis de trouver le temps de finir mon nouvel album.
Après presque trois ans de travail sur ce nouvel opus, 4 ans d’évolution musicale, d’expériences, de voyages et de rencontres, voilà maintenant le moment de synthétiser tout cela dans un nouvel enregistrement.
Mon dernier album “Nebula” remonte à 2017, et à l’époque je n’avais que ma guitare et mon didgeridoo. C’est donc mon premier album depuis que j’ai ajouté le Handpan à ce projet !
Handpans, didgeridoo, guitare, kalimba et quelques autres instruments figure dans cet album dont le thème est la Monade.
Du grec μονάς (monas“singularité”), provenant de μόνος (monos“unique, seul”), la Monade est l’Unité parfaite comme principe absolu. C’est l’unité originelle (l’Un, le premier Être, Dieu, le Principe des nombres, la totalité des choses), mais ce peut être aussi, à l’autre bout, l’unité minimale, l’élément spirituel minimal. Plus subtilement, la notion de monade évoque un jeu de miroirs entre l’Un, la Monade comme unité maximale, et les monades, les éléments des choses ou les choses en tant qu’unités minimales, reflets, de l’Un; une chose une est comme un microcosme, un reflet, un point de vue de l’Unité; une âme dit partiellement ce qu’est l’Âme monde, ou l’Esprit.
“Monad” est un concept album où chaque titre est une petite unité (une monade), symbolisant ainsi leur origine commune dans l’Unité primordiale (la Monade).
Entre octobre à décembre 2020, j’ai enregistré les 10 nouveaux morceaux et 5 interludes qui composent cet album.
Pour chaque titre un artwork spécifique lui est dédié. C’est donc un univers visuel et sonore qui se profile, où la pochette de l’album sera l’unité des différents artwork de chaque morceau.
Pour vous inclure comme “acteur” de l’album, j’ai aussi caché un morceau dans celui-ci, mais je ne peux pas en dire plus pour l’instant 🙂
Pour accompagner la sortie de ce nouveau projet, nous avons tourné 7 vidéos avec Robin Brisset de Hood.mov.
Plusieurs live session, une vidéo au studio ainsi qu’un live avec une scénographie du land-artiste Julien Mouroux.
Ce nouvel opus sera tiré en édition limitée CD et Vinyles, avec des titres bonus pour les participants à cette collecte.
La sortie est prévue pour fin Mai / début Juin.

This particular year let me find time to finish my new album.
After nearly three years of work on this new material, four year of musical growth, experiences, travels and encounters, now is the time to synthesize all of it in this new record.
My last album “Nebula” dates back to 2017, and at this time I had only my guitar and my didgeridoo. So this is my first album since I add handpans to my setup !
Handpans, didgeridoo, guitar, kalimba and more features in this album which theme is the monad. From Greek μονάς monas, “singularity” in turn from μόνος monos, “alone”, it refers, in cosmogony, to the Supreme Being, divinity or the totality of all things. It is the primordial unity, but it is also at the other edge the smallest unit, the smallest spiritual element.
More subtly, the notion of monad mirroring the One, the Monad as maximum unit, and the monads as smallest units or smallest elements of things, reflections of the One; one thing is like a microcosm, a reflection, a point of view of the Unity; a soul says partially what is the world’s Soul, or Spirit.
“Monad” is a concept album where each song is a small unit (a monad), symbolizing their common origin in the primordial Unity (the Monad).
Between october and december 2020, I recorded the 10 new pieces and 5 interludes featured in this album. A specific artwork is linked to each songs: it’s a sonic and visual universe that I propose in this record, where the cover will unify each specific artworks.
To make you “actor” of the album, I hid a song inside it but I can’t say more for now 🙂
To support the release of this new projec, we shot 7 videos with Hood.mov.
Several live sessions, one studio video, and one live song with a scenography from land-artist Julien Mouroux.
This new album will be print as limited edition both CD and Vinyl, with bonus tracks for people which participate to this crowdfunding.
The release of this album is planned for end of May / early June.
Loterie Handpan / Handpan Lottery
Avec le soutien de Angel Handpan, nous avons décidé de proposer une loterie pour tenter de gagner un handpan, le même que celui que je joue: un E Amara ext 14 dont les notes sont E (BDGA)BDEF#GABDE.
Le ticket de loterie est à 40€ et comprend l’album “Monad” en CD + numérique. Le nombre de ticket total vendu est limité à 200. Le nombre de ticket par personne par contre n’est pas limité, vous pouvez en prendre plusieurs pour augmenter vos chances !
Le handpan est en cours de construction, et sera disponible pour fin Mai. Nous procéderons au tirage au sort à ce moment avec un live stream.
L’instrument sera offert avec un hardcase evateck (étui rigide). Les frais de transports seront à la charge du gagnant.
